The baseball Warhawks defeated Olentangy Liberty yesterday to complete a 3 game season sweep of the Patriots. Central picked up a run in the 1st inning and held that lead through 5 innings of no-hit baseball from starting pitcher Sean Osborne. Liberty strung together 3 hits in the top of the 6th to take a 2-1 lead and added 3 more runs in the 7th and led 5-1 with only more trip to the plate for the Warhawks. Timely hitting and good base running propelled Central to a 4 run inning to tie the score at 5 and force extra innings. A two out rally in the bottom of the 9th on the strength of a Riley Bullock pushed a cross the wining run. Drew Fischer pitched the final 3 innings to pick up the win for the Warhawks. The team will complete OCC Buckeye Division play Friday travelling to Westerville to take on the Wildcats of South High School.
