Coming off a heart-breaking loss to Big Walnut in their last game, the girls laxers bounced back with a wire-to-wire win over their dreaded rivals from North with a 14-6 victory. The Warhawks controlled the game from the very first draw and never looked back.
Offensively, they were led by four goals each from senior captain Sophie Misiuk and freshman Kira Shepherd, as well as two goals each from senior captain Sienna Syzmanski and sophomore Emma Fantine. Defensively, the Warhawks completely shut down TTFTOSOSS (That Team From The Other Side Of Spring Street), allowing a season-low six goals. In goal, Rachel Kidd was as strong as ever with five saves.
The victory gives the Warhawks (2-7) a good opportunity to secure the Rule the Ville trophy when they host Westerville South on April 30.
The Warhawks travel to Olentangy Berlin on Thursday night.
