The WCHS girls golf team “Ruled the ‘ville” last night, as they were led to victory over Westerville North and Westerville South by Seniors Katelyn Neil and Zoei Tee. Neil and Tee were co-medalists of the match as they each posted a 9-hole score of 43.
It was a tight match that also required Junior Lucia Parrill, Freshman Jenna Benedict, and Sophomore Caroline Kenderski to contribute competitive scores. In fact, the Warhawk’s lead was only 5 strokes once each team had 3 golfers finished. The match was decided on the 4th score and the lady “hawks brought the “Westerville Cup” back home.
The Warhawks posted a score of 200, while WSHS scored a 216, and WNHS a 244. Girls golf has dominated this matchup in recent years and has not lost The Westerville Classic since 2014.
