Warhawks BBK Back On Winning Track

Warhawk Basketball Teams Return to Court Tonight

The Westerville Central boys and girls basketball teams return to action tonight with Cardinal Division battles scheduled with Hilliard Darby. The boys team will try to get back on the winning track as they travel to Darby for a triple header – frosh at 430 pm, JV at 6 pm and varsity at 730 pm.

Teams Prep for Phil Brown Classic

The 2015 edition of the Westerville Rotary Club’s Phil Brown Basketball Classic will be held Monday, January 19 at the Rike Center on the campus of Otterbein University.  The Rotary Club has sponsored this event for many years and was the idea of longtime Rotarian, Phil Brown. Warhawks Lose At The Buzzer To Orange

Cold shooting once again plagued the Warhawks in a non league contest at Olentangy Orange.  The teams traded the lead throughout the game and the contest was tied in the closing seconds when the Pioneers Colin Shepherd hit a shot from the corner to provide the margin of victory.  Shepherd led Orange with 17 points.

GBK Records Big Win over UA

The Westerville Central girls basketball team played with poise down the stretch to record a victory over Upper Arlington.  The Golden Bears opened the game on an 8-0 run before sophomore Mady Burtner entered the game and promptly scored 4 quick points and grabbed a rebound and a steal to spark the slow starting Warhawks.

GBK Home Twice This Week

The Westerville Central girls basketball team will host a pair of games this week.  The Golden Bears of Upper Arlington High School will be at WCHS on Tuesday, January 13 to take on the Warhawks in a non-league contest and on Friday, January 16 the Hilliard Darby Panthers will visit for an OCC Cardinal Division game.
